JDAA
We are looking for an architect to produce a drawing pack and submit a planning application for us. It's for a loft conversion but we need someone who can think outside the box and has a good relationship with Southwark planning and conservation teams. It's a tricky one - we are in a conservation area and our terrace of five house are considered of particular interest so the conservation officer's initial reaction is a flat no with no real explanation, despite two out the five houses having already done what we want to do. Can anyone recommend a local architect (not loft company) who isn't scared of a challenge?!Thanks in advance. jdaa Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31937-architect-needed/ Share on other sites
sarahdarcy
Hello, I used a local architect, Sandy Rendel (Choumert Rd), to plan a double width ground floor extension, and I found him to be creative, thoughtful and thorough. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and to play around with different ideas (in a constructive way). I get the sense that he can do a broad scheme or detailed drawings, whichever you prefer. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss any further. Nestarc
You need a good architect, not a local architect (would you select a surgeon merely because they lived locally?. Check with ARB (architects' registration board), the statutory register, to see who is qualified!!Nesta Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31937-architect-needed/#findComment-644644 Share on other sites
