Architect needed

We are looking for an architect to produce a drawing pack and submit a planning application for us.

It's for a loft conversion but we need someone who can think outside the box and has a good relationship with Southwark planning and conservation teams. It's a tricky one - we are in a conservation area and our terrace of five house are considered of particular interest so the conservation officer's initial reaction is a flat no with no real explanation, despite two out the five houses having already done what we want to do.

Can anyone recommend a local architect (not loft company) who isn't scared of a challenge?!

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I used a local architect, Sandy Rendel (Choumert Rd), to plan a double width ground floor extension, and I found him to be creative, thoughtful and thorough. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and to play around with different ideas (in a constructive way). I get the sense that he can do a broad scheme or detailed drawings, whichever you prefer. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss any further.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
    • GP not willing to refer you on? Say, to King's or similar. Odd
