Soz for lapping Loz but I am away from screen a lot (no smart phone layabout me) so will push on regardless and if all wrong Loz can reboot...

No DF - this is a fictional character in a tv series who is on the run in 1983.

He is with a group of others being sought by the SID (special investigations department). His character is loosely based on a Doctor from a show roughly 5 years earlier.

You thought I would know maxxi?

Yes, I was around all those years ago, as you obviously were too!

The date & the overweight sweaty chap clue gave it away. It was my favourite ever programme at the time. I just googled it and was amazed to see that all 51 episodes are available on DVD (Amazon) so think I might have to buy them.

So glad you took your turn or I'd never have known that this fab series isn't lost forever.

Back soon with a clue & It's going to be something more recent.

"What's shaking, Norm?"

"All four cheeks and a couple of chins."

    • Sorry, I know this isn't strictly an East Dulwich topic but as there are so many late-Victorian properties in the area I wondered if anyone has seen anything similar in their house and can advise. We have what looks like an old gas outlet on the back wall of our daughter's bedroom which we'd like to remove, but we weren't sure whether it's safe to do so. Do I just call a registered gas engineer to check it out? And is it definitely a gas outlet or might it be something else? It's at floor level so maybe electricity but it doesn't look like any electricity outlet I've ever seen! Has anyone had any experience of dealing with something similar?

    • End of a wonderful era. We’ve been going since it opened and even started contractions with my oldest (25 year old) son during a lovely New Year’s Eve lunch. Thank you Rod and Tim for some amazing memories.
