Brockley station new Sainsburys

Just found out that Sainsburys will be opening a 'local' format store almost directly opposite the western entrance to Brockley Overground station, next door to the much loved locally 'Broca Food Market'. I do hope the overground effect doesn't force too many well established and successful businesses into a head on battle with chains, be an interesting one to watch to judge how Peckham will be affected by station regeneration.

Yes, it would be sad to see the "one pound bowl" offer compromised in Peckham.

It would, but perhaps we will have some sort of wood fired organic tacos aubergine street food stall open up at ?6-?12 a pop, that will keep the hipster brigade happy. :)

At ?6-12 a pop i'd open anything woodfired/cheese on toast/kippers as flip flops stall.

There'll be a rude 'tax' on the stall

Basically, the ruder some one is, the more on a sliding scale you tax them (max ?1)

So by the end of the day we've saved enough to get pissed or give a little ol' lady a free jellied eel-cheese on toast-kipper.
