have you been to the doctors? it could just be hormones still as you're breastfeeding but worth getting checked for thyroid problems or arthritis which can both occur post pregnancy. I ached all over for months after my first baby, turned out I had a thyroid problem, went on medication - felt brilliant!

Hope you feel better soon

Hi there - I had this too, my 3rd baby is 7 months & I got really bad aches in hips and knees from about one month after the birth - I did a couple of osteopath visits to the vale practise and some hip opener yoga stretches that they gave me to do & it really helped. I breastfed until last week & the pains did stop before I stopped breastfeeding so I hope the same happens to you. I just stopped b feeding as baby taking solids & bottles now & I thought that I might be able to survey the damage & take stock of all the aches & pains once I'm not hunched over feeding all the time! Good luck & hope it improves.

Might be worth getting your GP to check your Vitamin D levels. I had bad joint pain, started at some point after I had my daughter, I'd never suffered before. I breastfed through it for 2 years, only the last 6 months became unbearable with fatigue also. Vitamin D deficiency randomly came up on a blood test with at a unrelated appointment with a consultant..

Always worth being ruled out via bloods as its rarely checked in the UK, and is actually quite common. I just took high prescription only dose Vit D for a period until my levels stabilised then continued with prescription supplements as you would from the chemist.

Hope it improves, its a horrible feeling. Especially with a young baby.

    • We live in East Dulwich and often to go Rye Lane. I know people say there are good restaurants near Rye Lane.  Does anyone have recommendations for good places for lunch or dinner?  We like Manze for pie & mash at lunch. And I've been to Peckham Bazaar in the past, which was excellent.  Thanks!
    • My husband is currently a full-time carer for our two disabled children, and he’s keen to get back into paid work where he can fit it around our family needs. He’s immediately available and looking for local handyman work — from snagging and DIY jobs to gardening or general fixing-up. He’s capable, practical, and reliable, with plenty of hands-on experience restoring and maintaining, including with heritage/listed properties. If you have a to-do list you never quite get to, or need help with those annoying finishing touches, he’d be happy to help. Please drop him a message if you’d like to chat or check availability. 07968345884
    • Unfortunately Nissan was a disaster of a company when it created your car and still is, and most recently created another combined disaster alliance with Renault. Be aware, the trade value on your car is really low as no one wants to do the work & it's often only when it reaches near scrap value that someone (else) is willing to invest (their money) to try and fix. So if you're willing to front the money and fix your car that (you know) then that is most likely your best option (also understanding that it is outrageous that you should have to replace a CVT gearbox after 50K). If that isn't appealing consider a new Skoda Fabia 1.0 (Auto) on finance if you can't afford cash, it will last 20yrs.... (and avoid cars from the Stellantis group)
