Lochie
I just paid ?100 for 10 hours hire of a zip van (with no men)My brother recently paid ?700 for a professional removal company to move him and family from one 3 bed flat to another in one go, only half a mile away. The service included packing and unpacking of all boxes and rebuilding all dismantled furniture.Goes to show there is a big difference depending on how much you are willing to do for yourself! ClareC
Get a few quotes from recommended companies - they vary hugely depending on availability on the day and how late you book. Also depends on how big your house is and how much you need moving - a loft full will increase the cost. We paid ?1500 to move from a 4 bed house in ED to a village near Ashford in Kent. That included them packing everything the day before. The guys were fantastic, no breakages! j-mo
There's a brilliant local firm called bridges removals. Often recommended on here. Talk to Steve for a quote. They are excellent.
