What does a removal lorry cost?

I just paid ?100 for 10 hours hire of a zip van (with no men)

My brother recently paid ?700 for a professional removal company to move him and family from one 3 bed flat to another in one go, only half a mile away. The service included packing and unpacking of all boxes and rebuilding all dismantled furniture.

Goes to show there is a big difference depending on how much you are willing to do for yourself!

We are mostly packed and in storage, but will need furniture loading, stuff collecting from the storage unit etc

Just moved from ED to Hayes in Kent. Total cost including packing and VAT was ?900. Can totally recommend company if you want to PM me!

Get a few quotes from recommended companies - they vary hugely depending on availability on the day and how late you book. Also depends on how big your house is and how much you need moving - a loft full will increase the cost.

We paid ?1500 to move from a 4 bed house in ED to a village near Ashford in Kent. That included them packing everything the day before.

The guys were fantastic, no breakages!
