My book club has evolved into a 'lets do something interesting club' and its my turn to host. I need a good idea!

Criteria is.... Not too expensive, easy location (either at my home or somewhere central)and something that doesn't require booking ages in advance (lots of last minute changes) and good fun! I was thing about hosting a poker lesson at home, but in case that doesn't work out, what else could we do?

I got some friends together recently for a lampshade making workshop at my home. You can bring your own fabric or select from a couple of choices. Let me know if you want the contact details for the workshop leader - he also hosts workshops for small groups at his shop in SE22. It was really easy to do and great to create something of practical use.
A group of my friends got together and had a belly dancing class at home. Was so much fun! The teacher brings all the music, scarves etc, you don't need much space at all. Helped along by a glass of wine, we had a great time, danced our hearts out and let off a lot of steam! I can get the details for you if you decide to go for it.

    • Hey fellow cat owners! Was hoping that you would consider putting collars with bells on your outside cats? I’ve wee fledglings in a nest and at the moment I’m defending them against an orange and white dude (I call him Trump) and his nemesis, a lovely Tuxedo cat (I call Elon)… they are quite the double act in my back garden!!!! It would give the wee ones a bit of a better chance if a bell could announce their approach. And as a feline owner myself, I know cats will be cats, but every little helps even the odds. many thanks.
