When you do cook, cook a bit too much and put it in a bowl in the fridge. It'll be good for a few days. At 3.30am take out bowl and put in microwave until hot and then put on top of buttered toast. Highly recommended for curry, chili, spaghetti sauce etc. with the same kind of oily/hot/tasty satisfaction that comes with any good takeaway.
I'm with DaveR on this one. We always cook more chili, stews, etc than we need and I put it in a container in the freezer (most of the time with added rice, etc). Instant meal in 6 minutes in the microwave. Job done - hangover not so bad in the morning but I always burn my mouth because I can't wait for it to cool down.

    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
