  1. A classic thread from when I used to live in E.Dulwich back in the day!
  2. those magnetic things are rubbish, already tried one and they don't really do much other than waste electricity.
  3. ...I'm thinking of getting one as the limescale in SE London water is driving me mad! Please don't name any brands here as i don't want this to become a commercial thread. Anyone have any experience of them and is it a pain having to keep topping them up with salt? Are there any noticeable effects on skin? - I find that london water irritates my skin quite a bit. (I'm originally from Midlands where it was never so bad)
  4. large greasy donner kebab from kebab & wine...after a big night on the lash in ED!...followed by a greasy fryup (the next morning) from the dulwich cafe to relieve the hangover!
  5. And poor Jack didn't get to Nail Kate either!
  6. but the point is you won't be sweating much, as Silk filled duvet maintains a more constant temp, unlike feather & down which causes you to overheat and hence sweat.

GinaG3 - does your sister have a website or something? - can you pm me the details please? I'm off down to selfridges & Harrods this weekend to check out the goods...i hope they let me sample the goods!

  9. So I'm thinking of 'investing' in some silk bedding, the whole monty.. Silk duvet, silk (filled) pillows, silk bed linen...the proper expensive stuff, not cheap satin nonsense! Anyone out there have any experience with this? how practical is it? Are the claims of 'keeps you cool in summer, and warm in winter' over exagerated? And does it feel good to sleep in silk?
  10. why buy it?!...its simple warm water from the tap + a tsp of salt + mix!
  11. try inhaling\sucking 'lukewarm' mildly slaty water through your nose, and spit out through mouth (obviously don't swallow it!).... helps with colds/hayfever/and other nasaly probs. I would normally do it from a pint glass, but as this is ED you could go new-age and try a neti pot. Also, stop sniffing the white stuff!
  12. Is it safe for a black or asian person to attend a Millwall game? Are we likely to get racist abuse thrown at us or is it all cleaned up these days? **I'm assuming that the black or asian person would be supporting Millwall and not cheering for the away side...that's obviously asking for trouble!
  13. What's causing the alarm to go off at the same time every night?!
  14. just do a monthly dd to a charity(s) of your choice.... conscience clear!
  15. how about some "front-end" disrupters to counter the effect of the "rear-end" diffusers?!
  16. big dissapointment was the opening race. They need to sort out the aero\dirty air issues - which they've all been aware of for years - and enable overtaking. bring in some form of nitros turbo boost system (limited number of boosts per race - say 10) - Kers was pants. Schumacher looks solid though considering he's been away for 3 years...lets give him a couple more races. However, i fear ferrari will run away this season...unless Alonso and Massa start tripping each other up.
  17. it could be the ground floor flat or next door's ground floor flat has opened white spirits in the cellar..may have been painting recently and forgot to close the lid properly. Best to check downstairs or with the neighbours either side.
  18. When I had my eyes lasered over 5years ago, it cost me ?5.5k..and my prescription was -9 in both eyes.... but still the best money i ever spent.
  19. google "Eye Yoga" not sure if its all "Quackery" though. Alternatively does lasreing work for long sightness? I had mine done for short sight about 5 yrs ago... best money i ever spent!
  20. JBARBER - why not get your people to speak to Banksy's people and let him know there's a spare wall going in SE22?
  21. sorry, but it looks rubbish! I hope an "Artist" wasn't commissioned to produce this?
  22. its the tube line to ED they are secretly tunneling!
