  1. get the TomTom cradle for Iphone, (you need to but the tomtom app seperately also). This will give you the sat nav (the cradle has an enhanced GPS chip), a line-out to your car stereo, which means you can use the voice control to play tunes and make calls. a bit pricey though. see: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-Car-Kit-for-iPhone/dp/B002P3KIPC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1263991951&sr=8-1
  2. Neither of us are under any delusions of being "special"... better to keep it real and enjoy the good times as they happen, rather than whine or pine about things that may never be!
  3. Depends on what type of relationship it is. I have an open relationship with a Japanese girl who now lives in Tokyo. She used to live in London when I met her, and I guess we are now "occasional" f-buddies. I haven't seen her for over a year, but am heading out to Tokyo soon, not specifically to see her but whilst I'm there we'll hook up and continue where we left off! No issues with seeing other people in between either.
  4. So if I want to travel from ED to London Bridge with my Oyster PAYG, do I have to touch in at ED?
  5. Now this sort of story, in today's Times, really makes me mad!!! http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article6972008.ece rather than try to find out the scientific reasons behind what actually happened, the idiots go declare it as a "Miracle" caused by the "hand of God"!
  6. Frank Skinner wrote an article about this subject in the Times a couple of months ago: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/frank_skinner/article6829662.ece But then he is an ex-alchoholic.
  7. No sympathy from me... why would you leave your engine running...unattended???! A bit like people who live in flats that don't use deadlocks and then wonder why they've so easily been broken into!
  8. And here's another dillema... you are desperate for a #2, and I'm sure we've all been in this situation before (although I can't speak for the ladies here), there is only one cubicle available (the others are being used). You go into the empty cubicle and recoil in horror at the stench the previous #2'er has left...I'm talking heavy, sulphurous, acrid, lingering stuff, that makes it impossible to breathe! (think a big session night before consisting of warm ales, curry, more warm ales, topped off with a kebab - I think you get the picture). So, you're desperate... do you go for it and hold breath for as long as possible and face the embarrasment of the next person thinking it was you that did the deed, or wait for one of the other cubicles...BTW there is newspaper rustling in the other cubicles so it could be a long wait!
  9. If the chap standing at the urinal next to you is causing 'splash-back', do you say anything or do you carry on about your business as if everything is normal - in other words does the un-written rule apply here?
  10. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks now for a replacement SIM card that Orange posted out to me - so no phone in that time either!
  11. I'm waiting on a new SIM card that orange sent out last Tues!
  12. Pommie the simple solution for you is to get an electronic catflap that works with your cats chip (assuming it has been chipped), my mum has one and it works very well. this is what you need: http://www.petporte.com/?gclid=CObC1szt9ZwCFVWF3godHx4ibg
  13. I'm in Worlingham rd - now 6 days no post. These strikes are a joke.... cuts & automation are inevitable if Royalmail is to survive. take the pain now with fewer job losses compared with potentially massive loses in the future!
  14. No post in the last 5 days for me - expecting some too!
  15. apparently Lion poo is supposed to be pretty good (google it).
  16. I have the same problem - doesn't help that my neighbour has laminate flooring upstairs either. it hasn't really bothered me in the past, but is starting to do so now-days.
  17. When I bought my flat 10yrs ago, I remember the Estate Agent promising that the tube would be coming to ED!
  18. I thought he was a loon in the early days, but if you can get past the "Reptillian" stuff, then David Icke has a lot of interesting stuff to say, especially in our current day and age.
  19. My father passed away from Cancer just over a month ago (he was only 62), I am currently going through the probate process. My advice to all out there is to sort a will out asap if you have any dependents (not matter what your age). It doesn't take long to do and it will save a lot of hassel for those that are left behind to handle your estate. Fortunately, my father had completed his will...and it makes the probate process a lot simpler to. The other benefit from having the will (which was mentioned in a previous post), is that it makes claims on the estate pretty much water tight, and difficult for a relative to claim that (s)he was supposed to inherit something of value.
