A Mobile Cat Grooming Service

Every cat owner will at some stage encounter a few problems when living with a cat, and try to find the best way to resolve them. From dirty, greasy to matted fur, hairballs, fleas, allergies, dirty waxy ears, long sharp claws or ingrown nails, litter stuck in their paws and with their hair all over the place, we all face a challenge in how to have a clean, happy cat.

Cats are a very fastidious species, but all they can do is lick themselves. Over time as a cat licks itself it ingests large amount of dead loose hair that will result in hairballs, which can be a potential health risk. At the same time they create dander, a substance too small for the human eye to see, that is made up of dead skin cells and dried saliva. It is dander , which contains a protein Fel D1, that causes allergic reaction in humans.

Cat's skin is naturally oily, and as a result of living in a heated environment they shed all year around. Oily skin that makes the coat greasy can cause the hair that sheds to stick to the healthy coat rather than falling away. This, in turn creates a tangle. Over time, other small tangles form and grow bigger as more hair sheds and collects underneath. If nothing is done at this stage, the tangles will grow into mats and eventually fuse together creating a large thick pelt. This is extremely uncomfortable, very stressful and painful for the cat.

Contrary to the common belief that cats hate water, most will tolerate it and some enjoy it. The best way to keep them healthy, feeling and looking good is through a thorough degreasing bath and blow dry.

  • 1 month later...

We had our 2 cats groomed recently by Nina and we were very pleased with the service. Both of our cats have very different personalities and when it comes to grooming one of them is not a happy cat! But Nina's professional approach made sure we had 2 happy cats at the end of the day and less fur flying around our house in this heat.

We definitely recommend 'hare of the Cat'.

    • I am no expert, but are your photos not saved in Google or similar, as well as being on your physical  phone? If so, you should just be able to access them on your new phone without actually having to move them over? Same with emails, normally, you just have to sign into your email account on your new phone to access them? Not sure re contacts, but I don't recall having any problems when getting a new phone. And apps you can just reinstall. Google or something like ChatGPT could probably "talk" you through sorting, deleting and editing photos and emails, if you can't find someone to help (sorry I can't, I'd be too worried about doing something wrong!) Good luck! Don't delete anything from your old phone until you are sure it's on your new phone!
    • Do you have a link to this? The only one i could find was on the 24th July
    • Yes and I heard the other day that there is a higher conviction rate with trials heard by only a judge, vs juries, which makes sense when you think about it.  Also - call me cynical - I can't help but think that this justice reform story was thrown out to overshadow the Reeves / OBR / Budget story.  But I do agree with scrapping juries for fraud cases.
    • judges are, by definition, a much narrower strata of society. The temptation to "rattle through" numbers, regardless of right, wrong or justice is fundamentally changed If we trust judges that much, why have we ever bothered with juries in the first place? (that's a rhetorical question btw - there is no sane answer which goes along the lines of "good point, judges only FTW"
