Pray explain the rationale behind your assertion, Lady Anna. I am of Turkish Cypriot extraction, or perhaps this is your little jest which is derived from the make up of THE ARSENAL team you mischievious little minx you.

It's not a complete washout this summer for English sports fans, we have a little matter of the Boers coming over here for 4 test matches (cricket that is) starting on 10th July. This is reason enough, to spend more than the hour and three-quarters it takes to get a footie game over with, in the pub. Pretend, or maybe not, you're into the game and get an 8 hour a day beer pass.
My interest in cricket peaked during the 2005 Ashes series and dwindled back to its usual state of indifference almost immediately thereafter. Sorry but Cricket is to me what a lovely pair of tits is to Graham Norton, a minor distraction at best and a thing of horror at worst.

    • Oh yes, it could have been about there, I can't remember exactly. At one point there seemed to be a load of pizza places opening on NCR. I vaguely remember the one we used to use was put out of business by another one which opened. Wasn't Grace and Favour's food offering more of a tea shop at the back of the actual shop? If memory serves the owner, whose name escapes me now, was one of the earliest people I know to move to Hastings. Which must now be crammed with South East Londoners 🤣
