how about those who can meet on 6 July - come. Let's meet at the top end of GG - by the trees, at 1pm.

I'll be with my 3 year old William. We'll bring some sandwiches and a football/scooters. Could then wander over to the park if they get restless.

Then let's also meet on 21 July - confirm a time/location nearer then. Perhaps 2pm at the upper end of GG again?

See you then!

pm me for mobile numbers

Isn't that playground fab? The reception playground is lots of fun and pretty big too. Amazing what you can do with a bit of imagination.

Have a lovely picnic nursery goers. We look forward to seeing you in September.

The nursery is very much a part of the school community as are the parents so do join our mailing list to keep up to date with events. Email us at [email protected]

Oh and make sure you come along to watch the carnival parade on Saturday (6th) and soak up the sun and spend a few pounds at our fair on the Green from 12-4pm.

Lovely to meet those who came on Saturday

We will be meeting again on 21st - perhaps meeting on the grass outside Peckham rye caf? is a better option to GG park as then they can pop over to the playground and we can buy coffees/ice creams etc. It's also a bit nicer. Does that suit everyone?

So far: RG, LillyD, Hollybush, Cherabel, souc1a and I can all make 21st

I think we are all morning sessions too which is great

If anyone else wants to join, then pls pm me your number which should help meeting up a little easier.

I will bring some outdoor play things - football, cricket bat etc

My son wont sit still for long...

Thanks

As a parent who watched her youngest son "graduate" from goose green reception today, I look forward to meeting you on Sunday.

I've also got a son moving into year 6, so have been a member of the goose green family for quite a time, and happy to be so!

It was lovely meeting all the new parents today, wih their little ones

I'm sure they are going to love becoming part of the goose green family as are their parents.

I tried to speak to all parents and apologise if I didn't speak to you directly.

We will aim to have another reception starters picnic on Sunday 8th sept 13 at noon. Please let any other parents know so all your children can meet each other again and have familiar faces on their 1st days.

Have a wonderful summer

Pippa yr1 and yr6 parent (as of sept13)

Ditto on the nursery meet up side. It was lovely to see you all.

7 families turned up and a further mum would like to join us for future meet ups.

We have a long summer ahead of us as nursery doesn't start until late September.

Please pm me your email and phone number if you'd like to be involved in future meet ups over the summer months.

Thanks

  • 3 weeks later...

Just to update what has been arranged by the 7+ mums so far.

We will hopefully be meeting up most **Friday afternoons**, at peckham rye cafe or if it's nice, the play ground just next to the cafe, at 230 ish.

Some mums are mtg up this friday - pls pm me for their contact details if you want to join. I won't be able to make this one.

There will definitely be a meet up on FRIDAY 16th at 230pm - a few more mums can make this date.

**Goosegreen nursery morning sessions** - do come along if you want to meet some other parents/nursery children.

    • We've got a Victorian coal hole cellar with a mud floor and after a couple of severe water leaks, I've taken more of an interest in the state of the dampness.  I've been running a dehumidifier for the past couple of weeks following a small water pipe leak and whilst most of the floor is now bone dry, there are damp patches along most of the wall adjoining the next house, a large damp patch in the middle of the floor that will not dry even with the dehumidifier right next to it and a patch of wet mud in a small hollow in the middle of the cellar.  An expert that lent us industrial drying equipment following a flood from a burst mains pipe said there will always be damp, but I'm a bit concerned in case there is a fundamental problem - any ideas from anyone with similar?
    • Best you post when you have an idea of dates  - waste  of everyone’s time
    • Hi there,  Looking for 10-12 jars (to start with) of local honey to fill a small section of a deli space in my work canteen. Please get in touch if you know of any community projects/small scale productions Cheers
    • Yeah, it did work out in the end, but it was way more stressful and expensive than it needed to be. He lost money. He had higher offers early on, but those buyers pulled out because of all the delays. On top of that, he spent a fortune on legal fees trying to get the neighbour to sign off on the freehold transfer. It dragged on for ages. In the end, he was lucky the final buyer stuck with it, but the price was lower, and the whole thing left a bad taste. A lesson learned. Share of freehold can be a real nightmare if the other owners aren’t cooperative. You’ve got to be 100 per cent sure everyone’s reasonable, otherwise it’s just not worth the hassle.
