Where is the dill in Dulwich?

Can anyone identify where the dill grows?

I'm interested in the location of living dill growing in Dulwich.

Is it the Effra or Peck valley?

Is it at the Plough height above sea level or higher?

Plough height and I think there's water not far underground: Upland / Friern

Older members of this MB will remember that The Platters sang enthusiastically about dill in their immortal hit "Smoke Gets In Yours Eyes". There were those unforgettable lines:

"Dill, dill, dill

Dill, dill, dill

Dill, dill, dill, waaaaah!"

Perhaps you didn't notice that Shorty had edited his post. The original photo was of dill that was not pining but had definitely passed on.

The area around Dylways has a different micro-environment to "up at The Plough".

Although there has been heavy landscape engineering the 2m interval lidar contour traces still give a good idea of the original drainage pattern.

Be iteresting to know if any dill grows here.
