pastry course

Hello,

I'm just wanting to tap into the knowledge of the forum...

My dad is retiring this August and also has a birthday, for which he has hinted that he would like to do a pastry making/cooking course - just a day course. I just looked at Leiths and they don't seem to have anything and thats as far as my cooking course knowledge goes. Can anyone tell me anywhere else I might look?

Recipease in Clapham runs very reasonably priced courses, but I'm not sure they teach pastry/baking - I think it's a Jamie Oliver venture. Otherwise, The Newlyns Cookery school in Hampshire often crops up in the sunday supplements. It is a good 1.5 hours drive from ED though.
