Does anyone have any suggestions for local volunteering for a 16 year old doing Duke of Edinburgh award?

Help out with a local Parkrun on Saturday mornings?

Herne Hill Velodrome used to take volunteers, not sure if still the case.

Local Scout/Cubs/Beavers often need extra help with their weekly sessions.

My teenager volunteered with West Norwood Feast community market, for his Bronze/Silver/Gold hours, setting up the stalls, giving out leaflets, tidying the site, helping at the information stall etc.

The Salvation Army shop in Nunhead take D of E volunteers as do some other charity shops. The Friends of Nunhead Cemetery take volunteers for their workdays (first Sunday of the month from 10-4) if your child likes physical outdoor work.

Try the local Scout groups.

Our x3 all volunteered for Parkrun & really enjoyed it - it was easy to do and they kept dojng it for a while after they had completed their DofE.
