Does anyone know what happened on LL yesterday afternoon, which resulted in Police blocking off lower end of LL?

It must have been blocked off for a time? I was on a bus coming down towards that end of LL, and the driver was getting messages that he would probably have to divert (but he didn't know why, or where to) but then he was told that he wouldn't have to after all. 

I think that must have been some time around 5pm?

I was passing the end of Melbourne going towards the hospital on my bike when the guy raced past me going towards LL, overtaking cars. Then the unmarked cops passed a couple of secs later.  I didn't think he would make it too far at that speed and time of day. Now I know a bit more, I'm glad the situation wasn't worse. Society is in a real sad state these days.

It all looked quite dramatic, rather worrying there wasn't more of a Police prescence with people wandering towards the scene. Bus drivers were not at all happy about having to reverse into side roads to go back  up LL!
