Yes. Yes, I would have done.

Best-Before is a recommendation only from the manufacturer as to when the food is (obviously) going to be at it's best - it is not a requirement to cease selling or consuming it after that date - though any sensible shop will not do so, and EHO's assume individuals use good judgement at home.

Use-By is a legal requirement where shops are concerned. Consumers are advised to use their best judgement when eating or drinking items that are past the Use-By date, and show careful consideration; meat, eggs and vegetables are hardier than fish, and manufacturers often place extremely cautious Use-By dates on food as they are aware many people will consume it after that time.

The relevant legal details...

Your welcome Buddug! How did ur little drink up go?! If I didn't have kids I would have come along too, although I don't drink alcohol so mine would have been a red bull!! When I start coaching again you will have to come to my classes StraferJack, we can do a whole session sparring, and you can partner up with me, I'll even just use my jab lol
Drinks went splendidly! He's a great guy - we had a lot in common, as do most of us humans, lets face it. I'm as guilty as the next person when pontificating on the internet. I took a lot about myself away tonight and it restored my faith in human nature. It was good. And to be honest StraferJack doesn't need coaching any more than I do. Or maybe we all do?! But what kind of coaching do you do? Are you a counsellor? And what's this jab?

    • There was something to do a with a gate in the Brockwell case, I can't recall the detail, but the council removed a gate, which had been gifted in trust to the park, so the festival builders could allow access, or something. And that was illegal and that's what enabled Rylance et al to litigate.
    • How long is the Gala, and potential new event, disruption….this could be key from the article on the High Court challenge against Lambeth…   Under permitted development rules, a temporary change of use is allowed for a total of 28 days each calendar year, but the Brockwell Park festivals run over 37 days and were due to begin on 23 May.
    • Try the castle upstairs, you'd need to buy a few drinks in return.  @Suecan you advise?  It will be in use some Mondays no doubt
    • Yes, I was bemused to see that notice in Barry Road. It seemed a strange place to be having a drop off point.
