El Pibe
Did side by side test on pimms vs sipsmit yesterday. 1pt summer cup/pimms, 1pt ginger beer, 2pts lemonade. Splash of apple juice, small squeeze of lime. Chopped strawberries, melon, watermelon and mint.No outright winner, Pimms is the taste of the summer, but that sipsmiths summer cup is pretty compelling stuff. Otta
As someone who likes all things lemon, and is very hot and bothered, MM's recipe is very appealing to me right now! El Pibe
I should add pt is part, not pint. Other wise I might have been a bit bloated...not to mention messy. PeckhamRose
Curious, I posted similar on my Facebook page last week except that I put lemons in freezer first, then after defrosting the whole of the lemon can be blended and used and sieved! fishbiscuits
Just to lower the tone... frozen beergarita:Flesh of 1 limeHalf a can of lager2 measures tequila1 measure CointreauA glug of spritePut in blender, then freeze. The alchohol content will prevent it from completely solidifying.Mash it up with a fork, and shake it up with a little water (or more sprite, or beer). Makes two glasses. El Pibe
Reminds me of a the 'cerveza con salsa Inglesa' I had in Guatemala out of bemused curiosity.Basically a very cold beer with worcester sauce and tabasco. A Ruddy Mary perhaps?A very odd drink indeed!! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34474-lemon-refresher/#findComment-663858 Share on other sites
fishbiscuits
Yeah, often known as a Michelada. I tried one in Texas, it tasted like sick. Beer margaritas are good though.
