Just had a look at my predictions. Had a pretty good Boxing Day with 4 correct scores and 14 points, but only managed 5 points on the weekend, so 19 points so far for the festive period.

Just changed a couple of predictions for tomorrow, which no doubt I'll end up regretting.

I can't believe we're expected to make another set of predictions less than 48 hours since the last lot. We need time to recover. Do UEFA know about this?

Anyways, it's the FA Cup this weekend, PredictAddict still don't seem to be doing an FA Cup version, so predictions will have to be posted on here as before. The format for the EDF Predictor FA Cup is that I pick the 10 'most interesting' matches for rounds 3rd to 5th, then the top 8 predictors go onto the QF's in a head-to-head knock-out basis. I'll produce a weekly league table. Anyone can join in, so please feel free to do so.

I haven't bothered with a table. Unless we get at least one extra player to join in, then there is no point in continuing with the league, as all 8 current players will qualify for the QF knock out stage regardless...

    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.
    • I like the look of SD's Sweet and Sour chicken. It's a really good dish when made freshly and well. I'll need to try it. Sad that Oriental Star and Lucky House by Dulwich Library both closed at a similarish time. They were decent, reliable, "British Chinese" takeaways.
    • William S Spicer was a family-owned firm that initially made horse drawn delivery carts for breweries (especially Fullers Brewery in W London) and horse-drawn trams. With the advent of the internal combustion engine, they successfully made the transition to coachbuilding delivery vehicles London's leading department stores using German engines. WW2 interrupted their business for obvious reasons, and their postwar attempt to become the local assembler and distributor of Bulgarian "Izmama" trucks was not blessed with good fortune. In 1953, the company pivoted to being a full-service garage, leveraging their reputation for honesty and excellence.  In 1972, the Dulwich site was sold to its present owners. William S Spicer III (the grandson of the founder) retired to Lancashire, where he founded a sanctuary for the endangered ineptia beetle, which he had encountered in Bulgaria while travelling for business. In 1978, Spicer was awarded an OBE for conservation, and a newly-discovered  beetle was named after him by the Bulgarian People's National Academy of Sciences - Byturus Spicerius.
    • I'm glad all this talk of cheese has enticed David Peckham back to the forum.
