The call centre really isnt helpful in resolving the issues either. I never have any problems with virgin but am supposedly with virgin 'national' as I have ADSL broadband, although this still comes under the vmedia umbrella. Considering switching to fibre optic but won't if that's what's having repeated problems.. miga Posted July 26, 2013 Share Posted July 26, 2013 yeah, likewise, the service has been just terrible the past month or so. the problem is with cable rather than adsl. i have called up several times, each time the explanation fell woefully short (a couple of weeks ago it was "because of the heat"). they've missed the resolution date twice.i've got this month free, but i'd rather have internet. NaiHM Posted July 26, 2013 Share Posted July 26, 2013 I remember a couple of years ago, Virgin media broadband went down for the best part of a month due to a fault in the area. When I dared to suggest after nearly a month of no service and numerous phone calls to customer service (each time being told it would be resolved the next day (it wasn't of course)), I was told I was being "stingy" by suggesting they offer me a discount for that month. And when I tried to move the broadband service with me when I moved house, the customer service was shocking. I vowed never to go back. By the sounds of it, I'm glad I didn't!
