I have a freestanding 60cm gas cooker which has an electric starter that has stopped working properly. The cooker has not worked since Christmas Eve. i am housebound but have 24h care.

The last couple of years it's been run by the Dulwich Festival organisers.

Another recommendation for Gary. I've used his services many times over the last few years. Very reliable and reasonable.

Have to agree with Pugwash. I've used Milk and More for years and apart from the odd blip very happy with the service.

I fall into the clinically vulnerable and elderly bracket as do other friends. I'm still living a pretty much shielding life with the odd very cautious tiptoe back out into the world. Same as my friends who I haven't physically seen since early March. TBH can't see that changing for a long while sadly.

Thanks OutOfFocus. JohnL Guy's and Kings come under different trusts. My understanding is that Blood tests, samples etc ordered by a Dulwich GP all go to Kings labs. Due to a long term chronic illness I've been a long standing patient at both hospitals. While in theory each hospital can log in to each others data in practise in my experience this doesn't work well.

Gumshoe you mention Guy's. Does the Tessa Jowell centre come under Guy's and St Thomas trust and not Kings? Asking as I have to have regular blood tests at Guy's and it would be so much easier to have them locally. Dulwich Hospital tests used to get done in Kings lab.

Penguin68 Milk & More deliveries have changed, I had an email. Monday's changed to Tuesday , Wednesday's to Thursday and Friday's to Saturday.

At the time of the DCC's closure September 2019 it was owned by the Association of Conservative Clubs. Don't know if they are the current owners.

The DCC closed last September. As far as I knew it was going to be put up for sale. Not a very helpful reply to your question, sorry. If anyone does have any information as to it's present situation I'd be very interested. My choir used to hold our rehearsals there but had to move when they closed. We were at the Palmerston till lockdown started, if, and I know it's a huge if, we can start rehearsing again we may need to find a bigger venue cause of social distancing. The DCC would be ideal !!

jimlad48 your view that someone like myself and others on here who fall into the vulnerable bracket, whether for reasons of age and / or underlying health issues are expendable fills me with both rage and sadness in equal measures !!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone needs to take a taxi anywhere in these difficult times I would reccomend Noir Taxi. They're fully sanitised by the driver before the next passenger gets in. I used them today and watched through my window as the driver thoroughly cleaned the passenger part inside and outside, he wore a mask and gloves and you've got the protection of the glass screen between you. Same happening on Overhill Rd from 4th May till September !!

I've used them twice now and can reccomend them. You can't choose which veg or fruit though so I ended up with some lovely looking radishes and leeks which sadly I can't eat but my neighbor was very happy to find them on her doorstep !!
