I need a hog roast

Hi people I am getting married next July and are in need of a company that can provide a hog roast has anyone used one before and if so can you please recommend them to me thank you all

Something to consider is when you need it for i.e time of day.

If it's lunchtime, they'll need to be onsite super early to get it fired up and begin roasting the beast. It takes about 6 hours.

Congratulations. You could try dixieunion.co.uk which is US style pulled pork (the pork is cooked off site beforehand, I believe). They had a stall, which I visited, at the West Norwood Feast event yesterday and the food was lovely. The people operating Dixie Union also catered for a party my husband and I held a couple of years ago - they are very professional and reliable.

I reckon they bring it mostly roasted and just finish it off at the venue an hour or so before serving. Saw it done in South Africa.

Suzanne James does (or at least has done) hog roasts. My old band played at an event where SJ were doing one. It was good!

I think hog roasts in general are pretty bland and overrated, but they seem mega popular. I just like the crackling.

But again, as far as they go, Suzanne Janes has probably done the best one I've tried.

I'm having one in a couple of weeks, they do cook it on site - think they are setting up @ 8 hours before (it's a large hog).

The chap I'm using rears his own pigs and came highly recommended by 3 separate (and independent of one another) sources. I'm expecting good things but don't know if he covers London, we are Kent now.
