He still hasn't won at Old Trafford either!

Agree about our midfield, despite dominating the second half we lacked zip as well as creativity.

Liverpool actually have a much better record when Suarez doesn't play...

A few seasons back when Gerrard was at his peak, he got injured for a bit and missed some huge games (in fact now I say it, I think it may have been the champions league 2005, because I think he missed the quarters against Juve) and everyone feared we'd be lost without him. However, the team played brilliantly working for each other.

Sometimes losing the man that everyone tries to pass to can be a good thing for the team as a whole.

And Sturridge and Coutinho really are looking like they just click.

Not getting over excited and joining in these ridiculous "Liverpool title contenders" things that I'm reading, but I am feeling that if we can get some consistency in our game, we're as good as Arsenal or Spurs.

And speaking of which, Spurs just look like a team of strangers at the moment. I have no doubt it will all come together, but they'd best be quick about it. Maybe Wenger was right when he said it can be dangerous to bring in more than 3 players at one time.

To do something for once.

Fair play to you I thought we were rubbish today. No creativity in the midfield. Three defensive midfielders is never a good thing. Can't wait for Eriksen to start Proper number ten. Just what we need.

Spurs had some pretty moments admittedly. If the team really gels they could be a pleasure to watch. They might even live up to their own ideals after decades of being rubbish (references to current state of long ball pots and workaday kettles will be studiously ignored) ;)

So I'm looking on newsnow and there's a Q&A with Martin Keown regarding the Ozil signing and I just couldn't resist. Haha.

My question to Martin was as follows:

"So Martin, you must be overjoyed that Arsenal have finally signed someone uglier than you. Tell me, do you think Ozil looks more like a fish, or a lizard?"...

Carlton Cole back having a fitness test at West Ham as a free agent - No no no no no no NO!

"That's the idea, get rid of the dead wood then when you can't offload your dead-beats (Maiga, Vaz Te) buy back the dead wood!"*

    • The Sky article says the manager has apologised. Apparently, according to the article the person who said they'd apply on Rachel and her husband behalf left and didn't hand the job on. • I'm utterly baffled as to why anybody thinks this is newsworthy, let alone worth a front page. The economy has barely grown for 20 years and the housing crisis has been worsening for a similar time period. Note to any journalists on the forum: maybe focus your headlines on important issues.
