He still hasn't won at Old Trafford either!

Agree about our midfield, despite dominating the second half we lacked zip as well as creativity.

A few seasons back when Gerrard was at his peak, he got injured for a bit and missed some huge games (in fact now I say it, I think it may have been the champions league 2005, because I think he missed the quarters against Juve) and everyone feared we'd be lost without him. However, the team played brilliantly working for each other.

Sometimes losing the man that everyone tries to pass to can be a good thing for the team as a whole.

And Sturridge and Coutinho really are looking like they just click.

Not getting over excited and joining in these ridiculous "Liverpool title contenders" things that I'm reading, but I am feeling that if we can get some consistency in our game, we're as good as Arsenal or Spurs.

And speaking of which, Spurs just look like a team of strangers at the moment. I have no doubt it will all come together, but they'd best be quick about it. Maybe Wenger was right when he said it can be dangerous to bring in more than 3 players at one time.

Fair play to you I thought we were rubbish today. No creativity in the midfield. Three defensive midfielders is never a good thing. Can't wait for Eriksen to start Proper number ten. Just what we need.

According to the BBC, Prem clubs have spent ?510m so fr this summer. Which means Spurs have spent 20% of the total outlay for the league.

I'm pleased with Liverpool's business. Lots of Man U fans suggesting that they should satch Ozil away from Arsenal...

Rarely I got to see both games.

For two of the biggest derbies in the worlds most exciting league, I failed to be entertained.

Man U looked like they barely cared.

Much of this could be projection on my part admittedly.

Spurs had some pretty moments admittedly. If the team really gels they could be a pleasure to watch. They might even live up to their own ideals after decades of being rubbish (references to current state of long ball pots and workaday kettles will be studiously ignored) ;)

Worryingly for West Ham I saw a full page advert for their forthcoming home game against Everton in this mornings Metro. Surely a game like that has to be a sell out or close to it.
