FFS the FD got a ?200k bonus for us winning the bloody third division. Hopefully they get their jotters at the AGM and we get a board interested in the goodness of Rangers rather than lining their own pockets. Otta
Probably at most a fine for the club. They should be made to play all their home champs league matches behind closed doors. Alan Medic
Toure's international teammate disagrees with him. This from the Beeb's website:A club statement read: "Having carefully studied the video of the game, we found no racist insults from fans of CSKA." Spokesman Michael Sanadze told BBC Radio 5 live: "We have nothing to hide, of course, and we have confirmation from the match delegate and the venue director that they themselves didn't hear anything special." The Russian side's own Ivory Coast player, striker Seydou Doumbia, added: "I didn't hear anything like that from the CSKA fans. "Yes, they're always noisy in supporting the team and try to put as much pressure as possible on our opponents, but they wouldn't ever allow themselves to come out with racist chants. "So my Ivory Coast colleague is clearly exaggerating." Mick Mac
Managed to avoid the results yesterday. Always makes MOTD much more interesting. United were lucky again RD. I'm liking my 33s on Liverpool even more now. When's the last time Liverpool finished above United? Otta
I too avoided the results til MOTD yesterday. Don't want to get carried away at this stage about Liverpool, but am starting to think top 4 is a real possibility. They've always struggled with consistency though, so just taking it a week at a time. When's the last time> Liverpool finished above United?2002.Utd have always been known for late comebacks, so yesterday's result actually felt promising in that respect, but our midfield looked dire until Januzaj came on.As MOTD pointed out, both Liverpool and Arsenal have some tricky games coming up in the run up to Christmas/New Year, so we'll have a better idea by then if either team are genuine title contenders. I still see Chelsea and City as the main title contenders. Before today's game we're only 3 and 2 points behind them respectively, so in that respect we're not out of it yet, although we need to start putting in some convincing performances sharpish... Otta
I'm not even thinking of Liverpool as title contenders. Of course if they're still pushing in January I may change my tune, but right now I'd take 4th so we can offer Suarez champs league football and keep him. Parkdrive
Not surprised AVB has had a go at the Spurs fans, but I'd be more worried about my crap team if I was him...has Soldado scored from open play yet? ????
And meanwhile at the bottom, we 've played 6 of our 9 games against teams in the top 10, without 3 miracle free kicks and with a striker, I can't help feeling we'd be in Southamptonish territory. :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35029-football-focus/page/25/#findComment-690932 Share on other sites
maxxi
A draw today abroad not a bad result - what are the odds of Zaha coming on loan in Jan? Make a good partnership with Morrison (handbags notwithstanding) and it doesn't look like Carroll's return is exactly imminent. Mick Mac
Can't agree more with Lawro and Owen, big Hart mistake today. I say that as a former goalkeeper. Advancing defender was winning the chase, stay on your six yard line for easy passback. Parkdrive
Love the way AVB spends obscene amounts of money and blames fans for a poor performance.the fact that he picks the team and bought the players had nothing to do with it then?
