2/18 points, no striker .....All Season, only had one anyway and Sam builds his WHOLE game plan around an injury prone single striker with no cover at the same time he spends A lot of money on Downing, when we already had that place covered. I was pragmatic enough for a while to accept BFS and his dogs shit football as a way of assuring our financial safety, he Isn,t even delivering that. His plan b, striker less football, was Sussed out after Tottenham. We have not beaten west Brom, palace, Norwich, Stoke, hull, Aston villa. I am joining the romantics I,d rather we went down with our traditions than this vastly overpaid (15th best in the world) fat sack excuse making dogsh1t of a man...I don,t think he,ll keep us up anyway.

Stay clear of other peoples business might be a good motto at the moment.

The ????s are not happy hammers.

BFS's excuses Saturday - not enough strike power.. not enough central defenders... Christmas fixture congestion tiring players out... bad luck... lack of concentration... complacency... NOT MY FAULT.

Latest wheeze is the shedding of Mladen Petric (brought in on a free as a striker while Carroll was unavailable)

In October, Petric said: "I'm a striker. I want to play and I'm sure I'll get my time on the pitch."

Three substitute appearances and no goals later he's gone. No great loss so what the fuck was he doing there in the first place??

Sadly I fear our chairpeople lack the courage to act decisively and sack him, they'd rather cringe behind their wallets and hope for the best.

Agreed, add Eto'o and Ramires to the list of dirty bastards who seem to get away with it week in week out. The odious BFS must go surely.

Has he gone yet? Most fans lost faith a few weeks back, I think he's lost the players too.....only the board to convince

And after today he can take Nolan with him - he's been getting worse by the week as a player and a Captain and today was the last straw, banned for 3 weeks now the petulant git.

I've been to three matches over the festive season, and seen a few more over the last few weeks on telly. Some real crackers but the two stinkers were the Arse/Chel (on telly) and today Arse/Cardiff, as well as getting wet as the roof is rubbish.

Is the quality of the Arse overated? or was that just an anomoly, perhaps in part due to the weather which was awful on both days

A second Arse question is as there are always thousands of empty (paid for tickets), a waiting list for season tickets, and they can in theory attract more than the ?60k capacity, why don't those not attending because they can't be arsed to leave their mansion in Herts to see a less attractive match on a rainy day, pass on their ticket to someone who does want to make the effort. I am not talking full price on Seatwave I hasten to add -better is used than wasted.

Oh and a fun anacdote now I will no longer be suprised by the ManU score as I was trying to watch it 'live' on MOTD, at WHL the only cheer on Boxing Day from the Spuds was when it was announced that WHU had gone one-nil up. Funnily enough they didn't announce 1-1, 1-2, 1-3. All credit to the Bluebird fans today for the noise they made BTW.

    • Its a few years ago now, but I organised my end of year prom (for year 13) at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill - was on the cheaper side to rent and at that age, felt very cool and clubby. I had my own 18th at Whirled Cinema in Loughborough Junction but I'm not sure if they take event bookings like that anymore
    • You are right . It isn't going to change him for the better. Sending such a negative message is potentially counter-productive. Trump is narcissistic, arrogant, unpredictable, spiteful, divisive, and dishonest, with a penchant for a total a disregard for democratic norms.  He is one who bears a grudge so there's a case to be made for not offending him as he could react with a bunch of  adverse actions  such as  deciding to increase import tariffs on UK exports to the US.
    • Unless we don't fly I don't think we can be too critical of the authorities.
    • In 2016 London City Airport began using concentrated flight paths. When there's a predominantly westerly wind, incoming aircraft approach from East London (north of the River). When there's a predominantly Easterly wind, incoming aircraft approach the airport from the West: circling through Forest Hill, Dulwich, Vauxhall, Tower Hamlets, Docklands. This latter flight path affects many of us in South East London. https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/london-city-airport-concentrated-flight-paths The planes going into City are often below 2,000 ft, so very noisy. Sometimes we have incoming Heathrow at the same time, flying higher. The early flights that I hear e.g. 04:30 are incoming to Heathrow. They are scheduled to land at 05:30 but are 'early'. Apparently the government allows a percentage of flights to arrive early and late (but these are now established as regular occurrences, informally part of the schedule). IMHO Londoners are getting very poor political representation on this issue. Incredible that if you want to complain about aircraft noise, you're supposed to contact the airport concerned! Preposterous and designed solely in favour of aviation expansion.
