Anyway, gutted Liverpool dropped 2 points this weekend, but Villa did play well, and our formation in the first half was all wrong. I do think our equalising penalty was a penalty, because the keeping took his ankles, but he was heading away from goal, so I guess it could be called a soft one.

Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust launches ?Stop StubHub?

spurs3

The FSF opposes ?legalised touts? who are more concerned with making money than getting tickets into fans? hands at a reasonable price, so it?s great to see one of our affiliates launching a campaign on this issue. Find out more about Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust's ?Stop StubHub? campaign below?

Having received headline data on StubHub sales for the first six Premier League home games of this season, it is clear that the StubHub resale platform is pushing up the price of tickets to watch Tottenham Hotspur.

The evidence provided shows that 91% of tickets are being sold above face value. At the two category A games included in the data, Chelsea and West Ham United, tickets were sold at an average price of 135% and 53% above face value respectively.

These figures show that StubHub and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) are misguided to continue insisting that that the high prices shown on the StubHub platform do not equate to actual sales.

The evidence is clear for all to see.

A system in which 91% of tickets are being sold at above face value, and substantially more in a significant number of cases, is not one that supporters' organisations can back.

We also believe the Club should be concerned at the fact that 19%, almost one-fifth, of season ticket holders have not been able to make one or more of the opening six league games of the season.

We note the Club intend to make changes to ticketing T&Cs to prevent abuse of the ability to relist tickets on the StubHub platform, also known as ?flipping?. We are not confident that a fair and transparent method of identifying what is legitimate relisting and what is abusive relisting exists. The Club is, in our opinion, dealing with a symptom of the StubHub system, which it has willingly agreed to.

We believe a ticket exchange should be a service to supporters, not a means of pushing up ticket prices or generating additional revenue.

In support of the campaign against licensed ticket touts, the FSF said: "Fans already find ticket prices more than demanding enough. The introduction of an additional level of profiteering at our expense can only serve to price more fans out of the game, and must be resisted".

We, therefore, call on THFC to end the partnership with StubHub at the earliest opportunity and, instead, to work with supporter groups, the FA and Premier League in their efforts to establish a genuine ticket exchange scheme that does not drive up prices or incentivise fans to exploit fellow fans.

The FSF blog is the space to challenge perceived wisdom, entertain readers and inform our members. The views expressed are those of the author and they don't necessarily represent FSF policy and (pay attention journalists) shouldn't be attributed to the FSF.

Indeed. I'm struggling to think of a shoot worse than that one. Jason Puncheon must be feeling like a penalty taking genuis after watching that limp display. It's good to see that Moyes has finally grasped the enormity of the task in in hand. He is definitely the man most qualified to take United on to realising their dream. Exactly what that dream is only he knows. The reds keep marching on, on on, as a certain EDFer has been known to say.

LM hasn't posted on this thread for yonks and yonks, nothing to do with Utd's current form. Football isn't the be all and end all for everyone.

Well done to Sunderland, they deserved to go through. They've already beaten City this season, so the final might not be as one sided as pundits are suggesting...remember Wigan Bluey? ;-)

You've hit a nerve Jah

Platini's fall from one of my heroes to corrupt, interfering, I know best bureaucrat has been terrible. Absolutely magnificent footballer and in 1986ish when England played the ROW to mark some centenary he famously turned down any fee as "i've never had the honour of playing at Wembley in my career" in contrast to Maradonna who asked for some outrageous payment...But now.......

Be nice to think Hodgson would put out a team of kids to show what the FA thinks of such a ridiculous commercial con trick - but they'll probably steal the idea and use it to get England playing as many money-spinning friendlies as possible.

eta - just read it and we don't play them anyway but the principle still stinks.

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
