I enjoyed it; didn't think it was too emotionally manipulative or a sob story - came across as honest and open. Good strong format - just him talking to camera - hope they do a lot more of these with others.

Reminds me of the Samassi Abou chant - well not really a chant.

Was at UP in late 90s when I heard it first as he was brought on as a sub - copied weeks later by Gooners chanting Kanuuuuu! - didn't really have the same impact without the 'B' but soon spread to other clubs who had a player with an 'oo' sound on their surname.

Think THAT originated at the Boleyn but could be wrong...

ETA: also seem to remember first hearing the "There's a hole in your heart dear Asa..." at a televised West Ham-Man City game in the 70s but that probably started elsewhere.

And also had a perfectly good goal ruled out

Arsenal fans later used it for Eboue, but the boo eventually turned into actual get off your shite boos.

I like it when fans can be self-deprecating about their own team/players. Back in the mid/late 80's I used to watch Celtic games, and their fans started a chant in 'honour' of new signing, the rotund Mark McGhee...

He's fat, he's round, he's worth a million pounds, Mark McGhee, Mark McGheeeeeee

People often tell me that Rangers and Celtic would, if they moved to England, be in the Championship. Next year Rangers can let us all know what its like to be a championship side.

Was that reliable cab made in Wales?

I thought it was awarded for going unbeaten in a season. Perhaps you can tell me different?

    • NYE is always like this. If you’re concerned about your pets, please consider seeing a vet as they can help. We give our dog valerian and play calming music, which helps especially after long walks and a big dinner. If it’s for yourself, it’s one night, so also suggest seeing your doctor for advice.  It is loud, although more predictable ( kept to evening:to midnight) than Guy Fawkes celebrations which go on for days and are arguably selfish and inconsiderate. Either way, it’s a very difficult time for many.

    • Happy New Year all, I sent a request for reimbursement of fines issues during all this …. Lambeth Council issued unjust parking tickets. Got a reference number back from them.. not heard for three months and from memory expires in Jan. Been round Lambeth Council offices and got know no where except being passed round in circles. Does anyone have a contact number or name please? Talking about a couple of hundred quid. Please do delete if not allowed but sure others have been effected as well…  Thanks and Happy New Year.
