Read what I wrote. Nothing to do with offers for players. All to do with timing. On Friday RM said that it was difficult to lose a player on deadline day. Tell that to Wigan...

Chelsea got lucky when they were given a penalty in their home game against West Brom, these decisions tend to even themselves out over a season, although I don't think Steve Clarke will think that.


BFS is the guest on Sky's Goals on Sunday programme. More irony. I'm surprised no journalist has ever let slip a BFS during an interview...''So Big Fat Sam, welcome to the programme, what did you think of the game yesterday?...''

Allardyce claimed the boos were understandable because "no one likes losing" - like it was all down to missed chances and bad luck on the day, that it was the result that made fans unhappy -


They booed you when you won too you two-faced hypocritical swivel-eyed git.


They booed because first it was Stoke handing out a beating while playing more attractive football, then their former manager doing it with Palace.


As for Hansen and Shearer on MOTD with their "What is the West Ham Way anyway?" and "Sam's safe" - perfect examples of smug out-of-touch tossers who earn their living from the game and have absolutley no idea what it's like to be a fan.

Yet another record tumbles to the genius that is David Moyes. In his post match interview he thought the team played well, which as Jamie Carragher said, is worrying...''I must have been watching a different match''


What Atticus said about 'pool, although I think there is at least one more twist in the tale. Would like to see Everton get in the CL, but can't see Arsenal dropping any more points...

      Unless you are watching it 24x7 then its hard to qualify that its not being used. Unless you are a business overlooking it of course. Personally I am reassured we still have phone boxes as they provide a valuable emergency use. If you are mugged for you phone, you can call 999 from them, if your house or business is on fire and you run out without a phone you can dial 999 from them. Some people don't have a mobile so its potentially reassuring for them knowing they can call someone if they feel unwell whilst out.  Just because some people don't see value in an object, doesn't mean others don't.

It's a disaster. And for this government, who were happy to tell us they had 14 years to prepare to lead, it has been one self-inflicted disaster after another since they took over. To be honest the signs were there when they were in opposition but I think we all gave them the benefit of the doubt as they weren't the Tories and now they have the reigns the additional scrutiny that brings is tripping them up.

      I don't think I've ever seen it used other than for gluing advertising on it. It's definitely not a priority but these things typically get ignored and become part of the furniture (so to speak).  There is a beautiful old red box near Upland Rd. I miss old red boxes... 😞 Anyway I'll have a dig around and see if anything can be done.
