Ozil will flourish with Sanchez in the side, Wilshire equally will benefit from having such a quality player in the side.

So Valencia signed - looking forward to him and Z?rate doing something different up front to waiting for crosses/long balls.


Didn't think I would be looking forward to the new season with BFS still IC but willing to believe a buffoon can - if not change his spots - at least stay sat on his arse and be content to take home his massively inflated wage packet and not interfere with the team but rather let his players do what they do best.

Lampard left it open, but I very much hope he won't be selected again.


To be fair to Gerrard I don't think there was really anyone else for the job at this WC, but glad he's decided to bow out, push an extra couple of seasons of PL football out of his legs, and let someone else do it for England.


Only problem is that someone else is likely to be Rooney.

Ben davies medical done and passed, in talks for Vorm as a no.2 keeper.


Schneiderlin issuing a come and get me plea, possibly alongside Rodriguez.


Hopeful punt on Griezmann although much more likely to go to a champions league side.


Wouldn't mind Micah Richards on loan.

agreed- hoever he was sitting as number two at swansea after they brought flappy-handski in. Strange move for me as Vorm is decent. Will happily take him as back up if he's happy to be. Good keeper for the Europa League and league cup i suppose!

I make you right Quids. Rooney will suffer bruised ego syndrome as he will have to play second fiddle to Van Pussy, who will be teacher's pet. His agent will soon be on the blower to the press and Man Utd hierarchy saying his client isn't happy.


Vorm is an excellent keeper and should keep Lloris on his toes for a first team spot. Happy about the Davies deal, we've been in need of a decent left-back for some time now. Hopefully, he'll continue to improve along with last season's buys (flops) who should improve after their year's experience in the Premiership. I think Soldado will come good this year and hopefully Lamela too.


Having said that I think Spurs will again finish outside the top four. 5th for me but hopefully a bit of silverware.

Radio 5 says Brian Robson and many others suggest Rooney should be captain, "because he's England's best player and he has the experience". Tosh.


England need to choose a natural leader and look around for types like Butcher, Adams, Robson, Terry.


And as we see in other sports, eg the choice of Will Carling for England rugby, these leaders are obvious from a young age. Don't choose someone just because they have been there when England have failed many times before.

      Hi  My internet connection has dropped out for several hours a couple of times since Sunday (15th Feb). I’m with Sky and the engineer has been and replaced the connection and then booked an Openreach engineer who checked the line but at the time it was working. He said there had been several issues in our road (Oakhurst Grove) but was now fixed but this morning I’ve woken up to no internet again. Just wondered if anyone else is having the same problems.

Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs): Promoting the expansion of LTNs to reduce "rat-running" in residential areas. Ending Internal Combustion Engine Sales: A target to end the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. Environmental Charging: Implementing a Carbon Tax on fossil fuels to increase the cost of petrol and diesel, incentivizing a shift to electric vehicles or public transport. Prioritizing Active Travel: Shifting funding from road building to walking, cycling, and public transport infrastructure, aiming for 50% of trips in towns and cities to be made by these methods by 2030. Improved Driver Training: Supporting "eco-driving" techniques to reduce emissions and fuel usage.  Some of which is good, some unrealistic, and on driver behaviour doesn't go far enough. Difficult to summarise the Lib Dems position as it is a bit wishy washy wanting to appeal to both the eco warrior and the NIMBY.  Sadly I know people who are both! Labour (nationally) said that local measures are a local issue, which was quite sensible, after Sunak;s we are going to end the war on motorists last stand, but don't like upsetting hard working motorists for example chickening out on fuel duty rises.
