Great night at the Emirates last night. Can anyone explain why I always have my handbag searched on entry when I clearly am carrying nothing dodgy and yet the away fans are able to bring in flares and fireworks? I hope Galatasary get a hefty fine.

Surely one of the basic rules for such games is to ensure the away fans are searched before entering the ground, as well as conducting a search of bags carried by any supporter, home or away, before going through the turnstile?

Liverpool are looking increasingly average...only City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Southampton stand out for me this season and the latter must surely drop?

Southampton have been brilliant, given the players that have moved on and what they had left, most predicted oblivion for them. Well done to them, nice to see a club outside of the usual suspects having a decent run. How long it will last, who knows?

Besiktas supporters were very tame compared to Galatasaray!

And I think things will improve for Liverpool, just a bit frustrating after last season. But not all about Suarez, more about new players settling.

Look at the first 9 games of last season sans Suarez.

Most weeks last year I got an unexpected surprise with how well Liverpool performed, sadly the opposite this season. We need to recreate the Spurs game, the only one where everything seemed to gel. Bring back Sturridge...
