I entered 2-1 West Ham, then thought "nah, don't be silly" and went 2-2. Damn it!!!!

Really enjoyed watching them today, but AM I hink you're just trying to wind people up. BFS has been there a while, it is only now that they are playing nice football, and I honestly believe that is despite him rather than because of him.

Although to give him his due, they looked really good at the back today, and I think he's probably put the steel in to the team.

It's when he says things like

?There are two types of coaches. There?s coaches like me who weigh up the opposition and ask the team to adjust. Fergie was similar. Jose [Mourinho] is similar. Then there?s Ars?ne, who won?t adjust. There?s Brendan [Rodgers], who looks like he won?t adjust. There?s Manuel Pellegrini, who looks like he won?t adjust, even in the Champions League. He seems to favour what he?s got. City are quite open."

That he just comes across as an arrogant knob. Even if there is truth in what he's saying, the man's ego is just enormous!

I'm just having a bit of fun Otta. I'm upset that maxxi chose to be abusive towards me but PD has done the same. I spent 6 months working at Upton Park and loved every day being able walk by the pitch, walk down the corridors by the managers office and the dressing rooms and finding out how much KB had difficulty in keeping a PA who would want to work with her. I hope they don't regret leaving there as it has history. I always see football grounds as being sort of churches dotted here and there around the country. That was like working in one.

However I sincerely don't thing SA is as bad as some fans think and I think his point which you referred to about some managers not being adaptable is perfectly valid. When money allows it they may well choose another manager to take them to another level but that's in the future.

Anyone remember Nigel Adkins? He was doing a great job at Southampton most people thought. He got sacked and the now Spurs manager took over. The point is that Southampton must have thought they were ready to improve on what he had achieved. When WH get to that point they will say adios to BFS.

He might be an arrogant cnut but I think he's spot on with that. As soon as I saw the line-up with two up front away from home I thought they'd have problems in midfield and that proved to be the case. Second half was a lot different when they brought Dzeko off. Terrific header by Sakho for the winner.

Maybe, maybe not. Do you actually know how much of it is his achievement?

You can't.

Look at Liverpool, was last season about Rogers' tactocs and style, or just about Suarez?

Is this season (so far) all about Rogers getting ot wrong, or about players not doing a job?

I can't prove BFS doesn't deserve all the credit he'll no doubt take. And no one else can prove he does.

Don't worry, he's fine, everyone is lauding him now so he may even be tempted to leave for a bigger club. I think he's just the man to take Celtic to the next level.

A good tribute, some great players speaking there. Spurs were early pioneers in Europe, and interesting how BN said we are nothing if were not in Europe. Perryman said he was still an influence on the successes of the 80s.

You need another Bill Nicholson soon.

Song will revert to type by Christmas, meaning he'll be as energetic as a lethargic cart horse. Jenko is class and is getting some good experience.

I wonder if we Arsenal fans have become blind to Song's virtues?

I was glad to see the back of him, didn't think he would work out at Barcelona and was glad we didn't resign him

But he DID have some great games for us and it is possible he is maturing as a person and able to tone down his more petulant side. West Ham's gain...

    • I think the only way to sort this is to ban loud fireworks for private sale (and preferably ban fireworks altogether except for public displays). I don't know whether that has implications I'm not aware of eg I have no idea how many people are involved in firework manufacture.
    • Very happy to recommend Tommy Rooney's excellent work again. He's been servicing my boiler for years now, but this time he swiftly fixed a leaky radiator valve. I put out a call on Friday and it was repaired - and improved - by Monday evening. I asked him if he had an opinion about my other radiators, and he reassured me as he pointed out the leaky bathroom rad was a non-standard length, which was why it caused problems. There followed a brief but detailed history of improvements in regulations for valves and fittings over the years, so that I could understand precisely what the issue was. How many plumbers will do that for you? "I've just got a memory for weird things," says Tommy modestly.

    • Labour have changed a number of things overnight.   1. VAT on school fees - this has resulted in 25,000 moving until state education. 2. Increasing NICs adding billions to the cost of going to work. 3. Introducing the Employment Rights Bill causing employers to stop hiring. This and item 2 have added 100,000 people to the unemployment scrapheap. These are also causing businesses to relocate further harming the economy. 4. Scrapping all the small boats deterrents meaning 60,000 illegal migrants have arrived in small boats since they were elected. 5. Dishing out huge public sector payroses with no conditions so we have a massively increased payroll and doctors etc arestill going out on strike. 6.changed IHT and non domicile tax rules causing 16,500 millionaires to leave the UK and stop paying any tax here at all forever. 7. Alongside 6, leaving the budget up until an historically late period after the last budget has caused a house price crash, killing the market and decimating government stamp duty receipts. 8. Their profligate borrowing (£100bn extra in just one year) to fund all their lavish promises means the government can now only borrow at the highest ever yields on records. They are more beholden to the bond markets than Liz Truss was. 9. The rate of inflation has doubled under this government. It was a healthy 2% when they came in. For most of the last year, as a result of all of the above it is now nearly 4%.   These are all decisions the Labour government took that have immediate cause and effect.  Its no good harking back to 15 years ago. The current administration was gifted the fastest growing economy in the G7 and within 15 months they have destroyed it.    And things are only going to get worse this winter.
