Yep. I think Carroll could work with Noble and Song dictating things but not Nolan. Good that Sakho is back - he's the key.

It is going to be very difficult for Tottenham. We have an away fixture at Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup three days before the final. It will be interesting to see who Pochetino picks for that game and the performance of the players and mindset before a cup final, especially considering winning a UEFA Cup can now get you into the Champions League. Obviously the League Cup final should take priority as winning a trophy is all that matters but Chelsea will have a few days extra rest. The Italian fixture is a game we can do without.

Some of us aren't keen on Spurs and take a great deal of Schadenfraude(sp?) in their 'big club' delusion which grows funnier the longer they don't win any trophies. I loathe Chelsea but sadly they are going to win things whatever so let them pick up another, after all minor one, and keep the Spuds potless is my view

PS Sorry Jah xx

I wouldn't want spurs to win a raffle, but Terry and recent arrival Costa (odious dirty c**t) plus a criminal for an owner wouldn't endear CSKA Fulham to anyone.

So BFS fans (Mick and the Dr)..Downing played on the wing again rather than in the centre of the diamond, the useless Nolan in the central position. Downing, possibly one of the players of the season to date, is ineffectual and not in the game like most of last season when he played out there, Nolan is useless and we are comprehensively beaten as I predicted. Since Nolan came back Sam has played him in that position and carroll upfront and our results are loses against all the big teams, some wins against the strugglers (Hull, Leicster), mainly from the second half when he's changed the formation, and some draws against average teams who our best formation and team should steamroll. When Nolan and Caroll were injured with Sakho and Valencia upfront and Downing in the middle we were fantastic. Useless dinosaur c*nt of a manager. Got a squad of players way beyond his ability and ambitions, i hope they don't renew his contract at the end of this season.

More worryingly - if press rumours are to be believed - he's trying to ship Noble out (for Fletcher) and keep Nolan. Un-be-f-ing-lievable. All part of his plan to get rid of any players that aren't his and keep his glee club so he can say (when asked why he's gone all long ball again) 'I have to play a system that works for the players I have'.

ETA - looks like Song is being trained to stay back and pump long balls forward for Valencia and Carroll too - he won't stay to play like that.

AM I think you are enjoying winding Quids and Maxxi up over West Ham, but the facts are there to see. They play one formation, they do well. They play his preferred formation, they get beat.

I was obviously pleased with yesterday, but I quite like West Ham, and it is a shame to see them being held back, which in my opinion (for what it's worth) they are by BFS's backwards thinking.

    • In 2016 London City Airport began using concentrated flight paths. When there's a predominantly westerly wind, incoming aircraft approach from East London (north of the River). When there's a predominantly Easterly wind, incoming aircraft approach the airport from the West: circling through Forest Hill, Dulwich, Vauxhall, Tower Hamlets, Docklands. This latter flight path affects many of us in South East London. https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/london-city-airport-concentrated-flight-paths The planes going into City are often below 2,000 ft, so very noisy. Sometimes we have incoming Heathrow at the same time, flying higher. The early flights that I hear e.g. 04:30 are incoming to Heathrow. They are scheduled to land at 05:30 but are 'early'. Apparently the government allows a percentage of flights to arrive early and late (but these are now established as regular occurrences, informally part of the schedule). IMHO Londoners are getting very poor political representation on this issue. Incredible that if you want to complain about aircraft noise, you're supposed to contact the airport concerned! Preposterous and designed solely in favour of aviation expansion.
    • Yet another recommendation for Jafar. Such a nice guy, really reliable and fair. He fixed a problem with our boiler and then incredibly kindly made two more visits to replace a different part at no extra cost.
    • I didn't have any problems with plane noise until city airport started flying planes to and from about 5-8 minutes apart from 5.30 am or  6 am,  and even with ear plugs and double glazing I am woken at about 6 well before I usually would wake  up. I have lived here since 1986 and it is relatively recently that the planes have been flying far too low over East dulwich. I very much doubt that they are headinbg to Heathrow or from Heathrow. As the crow flies we are much , MUCH closer to City Airport than Heathrow or Gatwick. I even saw one flying so low you could see all the windows, when I was in Peckham Rye Park.
