that is really out of order from those stupid fans what a disgrace. how embarrasing also for all the proper fans in the premier league doesn't give a good impression.

on another note wow bayern didn't score I was expecting them to win. and chelsea were so lucky, they only had one shot on goal while psg had about 8-9 Courtois saved them.

It isn't just the Chavs problem but their so called fans have been guilty of such behaviour in the past.

Same here, but I'm guessing the author believes we already know that.

Was there any truth the Chelsea Smilers myth? When I was about 12 (1990) the story was that they drive around in a blue van and jumped people, inflicting the "Chelsea smile" on them. I remember police presence outside of schools and assumed there was at least some truth to it...

So it's back to the UEFA Cup this week. I wonder if the surge of good form that Liverpool and Spurs have experienced in the league since the break from playing on Thursday and Sunday will now take a nosedive to the regular poor results they were getting on Sundays before Christmas.

Losing at home to West Ham on Sunday is just the sort of result I'd expect from a resurgent Spurs now we're back to the midweek UEFA Cup fixtures. Of course I am praying and have my fingers and toes crossed it doesn't happen but it would be typical Tottenham to ruin all that good work we've enjoyed over the past couple of months with a crap result at the weekend.

And that's assuming we beat Fiorentina tonight. And we need to get a very good result against Fiorentina because the second leg is three days before our Cup final against Chelski in the League Cup final. So it would be nice if we could rest a few players for that second leg so we can confidently play our strongest team for the final.

I've to say. That must have been an amazing match to have attended. You'll never forget that one and more than worth the price of the trip alone.

I'll never forget the night Gareth Bale tore Maicon a new one at White Hart Lane when Spurs beat Inter Milan 3-1. The atmosphere was electric that night.

    • I may be a scrooge but to pay over £100 plus for a meal is a bit much. I understand that staff costs would be a high factor in this price and that being no transport on Christmas Day - pubs may have to pay car hire fees. The café in Christ Church will be doing a 3 course meal in the run up to Christmas for around £30 per head (Booking essential) so to charge an additional £60 plus seems somewhat unreasonable. The past few years, there have only been the 2 of us on Christmas Day, so we lash out and buy a lot of M & S food - ready prepared or with minimal cooking at a cost of between £30 and £40. We host the family Boxing Day onwards (8 - 10 people) spending around £60 on food and drink. Rather spend £100 for food etc over a couple of days rather than £200 for one meal. We are fortunate that we have the finances  to do this as many people are not able to do this. One family member with young children would find it hard to spend even £10 on a Christmas meal. Our kids come armed with plastic boxes to all family meals to take home any leftovers - so we are left with minimal waste- any veg and meat  get made into soup.
