Of course it was Damian. It's Longford. Great place and the team I used to watch. Star player in those days was John Givens. No, not Don of QPR fame, his brother.

United looked great for about 20 minutes today. After that just frustration. Need a centre forward pronto unless Fellani is considered the answer.

By the way Glenn Hoddle, if you are given a job on TV as a pundit, don't you think you should at least know that Fellani was not a sub and therefore could not come on and cause the threat to the Newcastle defence you thought he might.

And try not to let bias cloud your judgement a la Michael Owen

Declan you must be paranoid, I AGREE with you, I was simply saying Hoddle and Owen show bias in their reporting. Happy now?

You still at this doc? Did you sleep with BFS's missus or something?

Okay i'll bite - a glorious f*ck up - terrible first half - Jenkinson and Creswell had a mare but didn't get much in the way of protection from midfield, play was too narrow and yes the system is taking time to gel but so what? I think it will - things will adapt and it's better to have these problems now than in a few months time. We need a striker and to learn to go wide when it's needed and for players to get over the nerves of playing at UP and stop the headless chicken routine when they f%ck up.

It'll come.

I am equal parts excited, disappointed, annoyed, frustrated, BUT I am not bored. I not looking ahead to a season of safety-first, percentage-based, dullness.

I think I once said I'd rather lose 4-3 in an exciting/dramatic game than win 1-0 in a bore fest. So now is the test. And i still feel that way.

    • As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/   It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.
    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
