I also tipped Arsenal before the start of the season. At the time they had only signed Cech, and I thought they would at least sign a striker to give Giroud some competition. I know it's difficult signing a quality plrayer in January, but Wenger really should've pushed the boat out to sign one. They can still win it, and I've predicted them to beat Leicester on Sunday, but I've just got this feeling that Spurs will sneak it. I'd love Leicester to win it, but Spurs winning the league will be just as refreshing for the game...

And more fun. I just don't really enjoy going to big stadium matches, no soul.

Yeah, I always think the worse when I'm at White Hart Lane. I can't relax and enjoy the game as much as I do at Dulwich Hamlet. I feel far less pressure at Champion Hill. Spurs can be three-nil up with five minutes to go and I still think the other team can snatch it. And in those last five minutes I'm having a series of heart attacks and begging the referee to blow the final whistle. I think it's best for my health and my wallet if I just stay away from now on.

One thing in Leicester's favour is the maximum number of games they will play this season is 13. The others could be playing 20+ because of the cups. All the big clubs including Spurs will want to win something. I don't expect they will just throw away that chance for the PL but try and manage it fielding weaker team's when they think they can get away with it.

United may need to concentrate on winning the Europa for CL qualification next season. If they go on a run though someone may drop out of the current top 4. Wonder who that might be? Makes it interesting from every angle. I tipped Arsenal too. It's almost now or never for them. Should be fun on Sunday.

If I was a Spurs fan I'd want MoPo to field a very weakened team for the Europa. Ok, if they win it they get a cup, but they have a real chance of winning the PL this year and are looking strong to finish in the top 4 and get into the CL next season, regardless. Go for it!...
Moyes was sacked as soon as it became apparent we wouldn't qualify for the CL. LVG is not far away from that situation. I see absolutely no point in keeping him for the last year of his contract. He's not going to turn things around in 1 season, he won't change...
Rooney isn't fit to polish Bobby Charlton's boots. I'm old enough remember what a fabulous player he was. The drop of the shoulder and thunder in both boots. Pure class. Total legend. Fantastic player. One of the best but not quite George, who simply was the best ever.

One way of keeping certain sections of the fanbase entertained and it is Holland after all

    • £30-40 for M&S Christmas food for two seems very low! And only £60 for food and drink for 8-10 people?  We have had M&S food at Christmas in the past, and it came to a lot more than that. I suppose it depends exactly what you are buying. We left it late to book a Christmas Day meal out last year, so there weren't many options left.  The Cherry Tree menu looked very nice. That was our first mistake. We also overlooked the fact that it was a Young's pub, with all that implies about the food. That was our second mistake. We don't have shedloads of money. We  took the view that we deserved a nice meal  out after working bloody hard all year. So it was doubly disappointing to basically waste a lot of money which could have been very much better  spent elsewhere.
    • No sweetheart. It is a fantastic sermon which should be shared. It is a rights-based sermon which received a standing ovation - if you can be bothered to get to the end.
    • Welcome back. What have voting intentions got to do with this thread? And much as you may hate the present incarnation of so-called Labour, as do I,  I don't think it is true that they have "not done a single positive thing for working class people", is it? And how exactly are you defining "working class people", anyway?
    • I can’t bear the media “is this racist comment racist” angle taken to reporting it. I feel like she’s a useful out rider for Farage to test how far they can take their rhetoric - it’s not the first time she’s said things that cross over the line. Overt racism is becoming far more commonplace and it’s deeply concerning.
