I was thinking this the other day. In Liverpool's nearly season with Suarez and Sturridge scoring tons we totally relied on scoring more than we conceded (shit loads). Spurs seem to have the balance at both ends.

Sign of pressure getting to them. Schmeichel was just as gobby walking off the pitch, effing and blinding knowing the camera was following him. If Spurs can come up with a convincing win tonight, could get very interesting...

Revisiting my earlier predictions, Leicester and Spurs are both 2 points better off than I predicted, so Leicester still on course to win by a point, but the momentum definitely feels like it's with Spurs after last night's great performance. Leicester's game against Swansea is now massive, win it and they should get over the line, a draw or defeat and I reckon it's Spurs' title...

But hey, why just single out the forwards.

This just gets more incredible the more I read it.

In the premier league this season, the following stats are for least fouls conceded by centre-halves.

Alderweireld hasn't conceded a foul in the last 600 PL minutes.

What's even more incredible is how he wasn't nominated for POTY.

Fouls conceded this season

Toby Alderweireld: 9

Laurent Koscielny: 25

Nicolas Otamendi: 26

Wes Morgan: 27

Robert Huth: 31

Chris Smalling: 42

And Swansea's players are already on the beach (even though

they aren't mathematically safe) :( .

So missing Vardy shouldn't matter too much.

Toby's already my Player Of The Year. It's no coincidence that since his arrival at WHL we now have the best defensive record in the Premiership whereas last season we probably had the worst. He's been superb from day one. A Rolls Royce of a defender and the best we've had since Ledley King was fully fit.

    • £30-40 for M&S Christmas food for two seems very low! And only £60 for food and drink for 8-10 people?  We have had M&S food at Christmas in the past, and it came to a lot more than that. I suppose it depends exactly what you are buying. We left it late to book a Christmas Day meal out last year, so there weren't many options left.  The Cherry Tree menu looked very nice. That was our first mistake. We also overlooked the fact that it was a Young's pub, with all that implies about the food. That was our second mistake. We don't have shedloads of money. We  took the view that we deserved a nice meal  out after working bloody hard all year. So it was doubly disappointing to basically waste a lot of money which could have been very much better  spent elsewhere.
    • No sweetheart. It is a fantastic sermon which should be shared. It is a rights-based sermon which received a standing ovation - if you can be bothered to get to the end.
    • Welcome back. What have voting intentions got to do with this thread? And much as you may hate the present incarnation of so-called Labour, as do I,  I don't think it is true that they have "not done a single positive thing for working class people", is it? And how exactly are you defining "working class people", anyway?
    • I can’t bear the media “is this racist comment racist” angle taken to reporting it. I feel like she’s a useful out rider for Farage to test how far they can take their rhetoric - it’s not the first time she’s said things that cross over the line. Overt racism is becoming far more commonplace and it’s deeply concerning.
