Indeed, especially Tim F-M. I don't think there's any coincidence that our best performance is when we play 4-3-3 for the first time this season. The same formation that we used last season when comfortably beating Spurs, Liverpool and City on the bounce. For some reason LvG totally abandoned it. Muppet...

Makes me feel so old as I was listening on the radio on the way up to Villa Park for our semi-final vs Forest (another FA Cup heartbreak :( )

Never mind, this result may be the turning point.......

That sees him* offered a new contract!? :)

*LVG

I didn't see the match but it sounded an amazing game.

One thing that has impressed me about Klopp is that he has been working with Rodgers' squad, and hasn't once used it as an excuse when results have gone against him. It's going to be a really important summer transfer window for him and a few other managers...

They've still got Danny Ings to come back as well. Either of those two would do me to play alongside Harry Kane.

While I'm here this is a very good article on the dearth of defenders being nominated for Player of the Year awards. Toby Alderweireld is definitely my Player of the Year, not just at Tottenham either.

I don't think it's a co-incidence that we've gone from having one of the worst goals conceded records in the top half of the top flight (consistently year after year) to having the best (by a distance) this year. Last season we conceded 53 goals in 38 games, so far this year we've conceded 25.

Alderweireld and to a degree Eric Dier & Lloris have easily been as important as Kane and Alli.

    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
