hmt1979
Hi there, we have recently moved to Dulwich village and I have a seven month old baby. I am really keen on meeting some mums as don't really know anybody living in the area. Can anybody suggest any groups that are particularly good for meeting first time mums? Thanks in advance! Mutrik
Not sure if this helps, as I am based in East Dulwich, but http://www.edtots.co.uk/ try this website. I met local mums with babies of the same age as mine through the tea mornings arranged by the local NCT group, so try to contact them maybe? I think the NCT also arrange weekly meet ups for mothers with babies locally, I went to one at the Goose Green Centre on Mondays (listed on the edtots website). There is also sing and sign at Goose Green Centre for babies from 6 months. In Dulwich village there is a playgroup in St Barnabus Hall on Tuesdays. Good luck! minder
I think the NCT group still meet on Friday mornings at St Faith's Church, which is a 10 minute walk from Dulwich Village. The Tuesday morning toddler group in St Barnabas closed last December but there has been a Boppin Tots class running there since April. It's 45 minutes of music, props, bubbles, etc. starting at 10.30am for babies/toddlers/young children. Fi is the lady that runs the class and she's very good.Fi is back in September.
