Hi there, we have recently moved to Dulwich village and I have a seven month old baby. I am really keen on meeting some mums as don't really know anybody living in the area. Can anybody suggest any groups that are particularly good for meeting first time mums? Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this helps, as I am based in East Dulwich, but http://www.edtots.co.uk/ try this website.

I met local mums with babies of the same age as mine through the tea mornings arranged by the local NCT group, so try to contact them maybe? I think the NCT also arrange weekly meet ups for mothers with babies locally, I went to one at the Goose Green Centre on Mondays (listed on the edtots website). There is also sing and sign at Goose Green Centre for babies from 6 months. In Dulwich village there is a playgroup in St Barnabus Hall on Tuesdays. Good luck!

East Dulwich Mummy is also a great place to find lots of activities for children and general events.

ED Tots is great too...

Bumps n Babes is one of the best groups for meeting first time mums but there are lots and lots in this area, so welcome and enjoy!

I think the NCT group still meet on Friday mornings at St Faith's Church, which is a 10 minute walk from Dulwich Village.

The Tuesday morning toddler group in St Barnabas closed last December but there has been a Boppin Tots class running there since April. It's 45 minutes of music, props, bubbles, etc. starting at 10.30am for babies/toddlers/young children. Fi is the lady that runs the class and she's very good.

Fi is back in September.

    • I don’t think Reform will withstand the heat of any election.  Finding enough people to stand will be bad enough. Finding credible ones quite a bid tougher  I think yes this government is lacking in a long term plan and has not had a good first year. Today the least.   but the speed with which this was dealt with is a notable shift compared to last 14 years where months would drag by and we would constantly be told to draw a line under  if Labour called an election tomorrow, there is not a single party that could present a better alternative with any credibility. And that’s a low bar Reform are dangerous lunatics but more worrying is the descent of the Tories into the same swamp i also worry that England voters have contracted some melodrama virus after the Tories where we had 5 PMs in almost as many years  it’s ok for governments to be unpopular without needing to have an election every 1-2 years       Looks like Lucy Connolly will me one of those Reform candidates at next election tells you everything you need to know about that party and where the country would be headed
