According to my informant, she was sitting outside a pub on LL and jumped up and announced to a passer-by: "Excuse me, I'm not trying to sell you anything, I just wondered if I could have a light please?" Followed by self-congratulatory laughter.

Not that I'm a snitch, you understand.

    • They are so good. Fabulous people too. I love the food - AND they are dog friendly. I don't understand why everyone queues at the place next door when this like goldmine is right THERE!
    • I was just saying this to someone the other day, I have a photo of me at my first job in 1995 with an ashtray and 20 B&H on my desk!
    • Just passed by and it does look nice. I'll try to go in soon. In fact, that whole little stretch of Uplands Rd seems to be having a little renaissance.
    • It's like that most of the time.  Like many, I can only use it at certain times due to work hours and the queue is always out of the door, that said it does tend to move pretty quickly.  Think I was in and out in 25 mins last time which I would call a success! Don't mind Sue, think she woke up on the wrong side of the Post Office queue this morning!
