LV0210
Hi,I have been reading about forest schools and love the idea and would like to my three year old daughter to one. Has anyone been to a forest school session and if so, would you mind sharing your thoughts and experience. Are there any in Southwark? Thanks! VeronicaSawyer
I'd heard that Langbourne was a forest school, although I can't find anything on their website to confirm it. Goodrich has a new senior member of staff (Foundation phase leader? I can't remember.) starting in September who has experience in forest schools, so I'm really hoping that something may start up there. Wanhope
Hi,We're currently looking for a nursery for our son for when he turns three and when I recently visited Dulwich Oaks Montessori nursery the head teacher said she was planning to start forest school sessions from this Autumn in the nearby woods (she's done training and has relevent permissions). This was one of the aspects that I most liked about the nursery personally. Mellors
Horniman Primary School is a forest school. All children in Key Stage 1 do lessons outside every week, rain or shine. they mostly use the woods which are within the school grounds, although sometimes go to Sydenham Woods etc. Its brilliant, mine love it.
