Local sushi restaurant rec?

Hi all, can anyone recommend a great place to get Sushi locally (a restaurant or place where you can dine in). After the closing of AONE in Peckham we need an alternative… hoping to find somewhere to celebrate my son’s bday. Thank you!

It depends on your son’s birthday I guess but……

Yama momo! Consistently delicious and excellent customer service. It’s a bit expensive but I go for their mon-thur offer (-20% off food and 2-4-1 cocktails). Enjoy!

The Japanese  place in North Cross Road also does sushi (or did last time we were there!)

ETA: Just remembered its name is Monkatsu! I don't like sushi, but the rest of its food is good, so I expect the sushi is too!

Yama Momo is excellent and I highly reccomed Sushi Garden on Dartmoth Road Forest hill (opposite Forest Hill Pools) The chef there worked in some top Sushi resturants in Central london previously, one of my neighbours reccomended it and I can honestly say its superb and very reaonable for great quality food.

Momo sushi in Camberwell is really great, and much cheaper than yama momo

Per Sue the sushi is good at Monkatsu on North Cross Road.

 

A bit further afield Sushi Shimai on Milkwood Road is good too.
