Hi, I hope this is of interest, I've launched a new substack reviewing restaurants in SE22. In case you don't know, a substack is like a blog. The page is free to subscribers and hopefully as it grows there will be exclusive offers and meal deals. It is completely independent, all meals are paid for and establishments visited anonymously. Substack is what many people are using these days.

Just think of Substack as a blog, remember those? -  it's just more user-friendly.

bloody cheek of it, do I remember what a blog is, how about writing using lanuage EVERYONE understands, how's about that then, how do you like those apples.

It should be fairly straightforward once you put in your email address - if it's trying to coax you into paying to subscribe that's just the way substack is set up as a default - you have to click on the 'free' box to avoid it. Though everyone is welcome to pay if they want!

Jenijenjen -its nothing to do with being grumpy, its expecting people to use the language the way it is intended to be used and not use words incorrectly.

calling someone grumpy on a local forum, you may find amusing, I find it demonstrates your arrogance and rudeness.

Hi everyone who has subscribed to Eats Dulwich. The response has been overwhelming. However, I've realised I made a rookie error when I set up the new page. I didn't have the paid subscriber button turned on! While the reviews are free to read, a few paid subscribers will help me to make the page better - write more, travel a bit beyond SE22 and also set up exclusive offers and meal deals. Subscriptions start at only £5 a month and you can cancel at any time. If you can upgrade to paid that would be great. But no obligation of course. Any support is really appreciated.

Ah, glad you have admitted that this is a business, first thing that came to mind.  I wont be subscribing. Happy to provide free advice on where to eat!  Should this not be in the classified section?

Admin can decide.  But if a business is touting their products then the person running this may wish to get a cut.  I find it strange that a community web site where issues like dog poo and local surgeries should be subject to guerilla/ambush marketing.  You don't need to share this view.

Good on you for doing something rather than some who would prefer to complain about what others are doing. 

Enjoyed the read and look forward to seeing more of the meals from the area.   There's are some great substack newsletters out there for local news and exploration. Love to see it.

Love Substack! It’s home to a wide range of writers/subject matters. I subscribe to a couple of writers that I rate (Ottolenghi has recently started a weekly column on there and local food writer Helen Graves is on it too.) With a paid subscription you get the full article/blog but there’s also plenty of content that’s essentially free. I regard it as my own personal ‘magazine’ of writers curated by me!
