Painting/Upcycling Furniture

I just wanted to let you know about my business - Revived London

Basically I renovate furniture by decoupage, painting and distressing. I have a lot of items on sale but I also can source a perfect piece for you or beautify a piece that you might already own.

From my website you can see a few of the things I can do but my portfolio is always growing and I'm up for anything.

I've only just "officially" launched my business however I have been selling for about a year. I have testimonials on my site but I also have a lot of people who wouldn't mind speaking/emailing with you if you would like further recommendations.

I work from home (and store everything at home much to the dislike of my husband and kids!!!) so if you would like to pop over and view anything please just ask.

Below is my website and social media details.

I look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you

Hi Sue

Thank you so much for your feedback. You've put a smile on my face :)

I have thought about running workshops and it's definitely on my to-do list but I need to sort out my house (honestly and truly it is just jam packed with furniture blocking every vague space)so really I need to sell some stuff so we can access the kitchen to be able to do it :)

Perhaps if you are interested and didn't mind the space I could run a one on one workshop? We would probably be looking at end of Sept/Oct.

Drop me a PM if you're interested and I will give you a buzz to discuss details

Thanks again

We are in the process of getting a commissioned piece of work through Revived London. Having seen all the pieces in Sally's house that she has created and fallen in love with several we really wanted something but like pickle we have no space.

Then remembered that she can do wonderful things to pre-existing furniture. Very excited that we can revamp an old chest of drawers and Sally has some brilliant ideas whilst keeping both myself and my husband very happy.

So if you do love her work but don't think you need a new piece of furniture, do take a look in your house and see if you think anything could do with a revamp!

I would like to add a recommendation for Sally's brilliant furniture. We bought a hall stand for our rather narrow hall. It was if it was made to fit. Sally perfected the colour and finish exactly to our liking, she even lined the draw with a lovely garden collage to suit our passion. You can see a photo of it on her website (revivedlondon.com.) She has a good selection of pieces and is great at personalising the items to suit the client and the furniture.

Thanks Steve, I really appreciate your recommendation :)

I've just finished a fab revival of a Georgian Style writing desk with old newspaper cuttings decoupaged in the inlay for an EDF'er. Dropped off tonight and she was very happy. Here's a link to the finished piece http://www.revivedlondon.com/portfolio/georgian-style-writing-desk-with-old-newspaper-clippings/

Thanks so much everyone for all your kinds words. All is going well. See below two photos of pieces that I've just finished.

The first one I sourced the desk for the client and decoupaged the inlay with old newspaper cuttings.

The second has turned into a HUGE hit. I can decoupage anything onto a letter of your choice and then I frame it into a box frame. As you can see this one is of One Direction however I've also done Star Wars, Spiderman, Thomas the Tank Engine, Rory etc etc. The cost of this is ?40 + P&P

For those of you that are interested in workshops, you will have to bare with me I'm afraid. I didn't realise I would be this busy and I'm desperately trying to finish all the big items before Xmas so just don't have time to plan workshops. The New Year hopefully will allow me a bit more time to work things out.

Thanks as always for all of your support.

Hi just wanted to recommend Sally's furniture restoration services - I'd been looking for someone for ages to help out with some chests which are much loved but needed a revamp. Sally did a beautiful job of painting, distressing and waxing them using Annie Sloan paint and I'm just delighted with the results. As she's local, it was easy to pop in to see how the projects were evolving and she ensured the end result was exactly what I was looking for.

Very reasonably priced as well. I'm just waiting for her next free slot so that she can do another for me!

Thanks Norfolkvillas - I'm currently doing a big job - 8 chairs, dining room table and display cabinet for a client (she found me on here!) and then I'll be back to you to do your next chest :)

If anyone wants to see some past jobs and also furniture that I've currently got for sale please go to my website http://www.revivedlondon.com

    • There are "plans" to build more reservoirs, with physical work yet to be started, with the first hoped to be completed by 2036, and a second by 2040, then time is needed for them to fill so add at least another 12 months on. However, if the 1.5 million homes are built by 2028, each averaging 2 people occupying them.(some will be more, some will be less) then thats 3 million people showering, bathing and using water.  Therefore there is a massive demand that will strain our current inferstructure between 2028 and 2037 (nearly ten years) plus all those homes will need electricity, as the ambition is to phase gas usage out, which will take just as much time to reinforce the network to cover, let alone add in the ability to cope with green production electricity that needs to be moved from wind and solar farms to where it is most needed.  Therefore, is the current plan to build more homes, regardless of where they are,  potentially going to have serious ramifications on already creaking networks ?
