cafe recomendations that are kid friendly

Hi Guys,

Its the Mrs' birthday at the weekend and I have invited a group of friends over to catch up and i am looking for somewhere to take them that is kid friendly on a Sunday. I thought about the Vic but I'm now pondering on something alittle quainter?

Any recomendations?? Requirements.. food, drinks, kid safe, nice....

Cheers! I actually want to take the wife to be, some friends and their kids out to lunch in one of the many cafes in ED, just don't know which would suit the demorgrafic the best...

The Duck Egg Cafe on Northcross Road is very popular with our 3yr old grandson, and Sorsi&Morsi on Lordship Lane would be worth considering (Italians are invariably child-friendly).

The food at both is very good (Duck Egg do lovely Sunday Roasts) and the Italian one has a gorgeous terrace at the back.

Head for Petitou in neighbouring Peckham! You can sit outside, eat great salads, sandwiches, cakes and the service is good too. If you fancy a bevvy afterwards, you can go to the Montpelier.

I don't know any cafes that aren't kid-friendly in East Dulwich! Most of them seem to have the little blighters running amok.
