Hello WOD.

I am not an expert though I have been looking after a Victoria plum tree for about 15 years. I prune immediately following harvesting. The experts say you should also "arbrex" where pruned; I did this for the first 3 or four years but stopped doing so once I ran out of the stuff (couldn't be bothered). No problems so far (apart from plum tree moth and fecking squirrels).

Prune and replace or add a grease band, it's the most common missed out disease preventer.

But if think you've got true Silver Leaf then there's some further reading here http://www.which.co.uk/documents/pdf/silver-leaf-disease-153706.pdf
