BAKING CLASSES FOR PRE SCHOOLERS

BAKING CLASSES FOR PRE SCHOOLERS: Dear all, I am thinking of starting up a pre-school baking class. I thought I might see if local parents/carers might be interested. I'm trying to work out how long each class should be and what to charge. Obviously I need to think about the ingredients and equipment that I'll need. I can't make a loss but also don't want to charge too much to put people off. I was thinking of a class that ran from 10am-11.30, this should allow for school drop off and pick up. Every week the children would make something different, whether int be novelty fairy cakes, spiced decorated biscuits or flapjacks. They would wash their hands, pinny up, measure and weigh, mix, bake and decorate depending on what we're making. While things are cooking we'd be washing up and preparing icing/packaging. I thought I would invite the parent/carer to stay if they want to help or possibly to have coffee in the sitting room. What I don't need is a load of women standing around chatting while I'm trying to help their lovelies.

Please help me and tell me what you think. I love baking and kids so this seems like the perfect idea for me but it may not be worth all the effort.

Thanks

Laura

What is / are the email address / es? Can  I please have the names of people involved in @cleanairdulwich?  Is it a private organisation? If so,  who is behind it? Is it @Southwark Council organisation - if so, can we please have more information? Who pays for it?
    • This is the chart that the DFT published last week that triggered the Cycling Weekly article. Clearly, nationally, something isn't working and I wonder if the approach taken needs a complete rethink and overhaul as if this is the result of a £2bn investment then clearly it is not delivering any ROI - but isn't a 2% or so increase what has been seen in the City of London (per Carlton Reid's "More bikes than cars in the city now" article) so maybe this is consistent in cities too and 2% increase is all that anywhere has seen?
    • I meant that particular Sainsbury's, but perhaps I am being too hard on it. But then I remember Sainsbury's in the days before there were supermarkets .....
